How I Make Money on the Internet In 10 Easy Steps

OK, what I am about to share carries absolutely no guarantees at all but it does actually work for me. I make a VERY decent income from this method and all I can suggest is that you try it and see for yourself.
Step 1: Find some decent PLR (Public Label Rights) products that include a sales page. Look for something that has a decent page that could entice you to buy.
Step 2: Buy a domain name that obviously links to the main product that you found in step 1 above.
Step 3: Edit the sales page. This includes the author, some sentences, graphics. Anything that makes it completely unique. If necessary, add some bonuses to make it more attractive.
Step 4: Create a OTR - One Time Offer. This could be something that you found in step 1.
Step 5: Edit the PLR material found in step 1 to match the sales page. Again its a matter of changing enough to make it unique, including the author and the actual name of the product.
Step 6: Create some decent graphics for the product or get them done by someone else via Elance etc.
Step 7: Upload everything to the site, including payment and download files.
Step 8: Set up an autoresponder and some email messages as follow ons.
Step 9: Make sure you test that everything works, the product, OTO, download etc
Step 10: Drive traffic to the site using Pay per Click, articles, forum posting, blogs and include relevant backlinks to the site.

There is an old acronym which runs K.I.S.S. - Keep It Short & Simple! Perhaps nowhere is that more applicable than when people begin to look at ways to make money on the internet.
Humans love to complicate things! We do it all the time - just look at our lives! We have all this wonderful technology at our disposal and yet our lives generally are far more complicated than they were 50 years ago (so I’m told by 85 year old mum anyway)!
When I look at some of the “red hot money making opportunities” that are promoted online I get really confused - I haven’t got a clue what half of them are on about! And that is with some years of online business experience behind me. Heaven knows what someone new to Internet Marketing would make of them! Just what is 5 level forced matrix anyway?
There is a Japanese term that I love, “Shibumi”. It means that something has a simply stated functional elegance. Something that does the job it was designed for perfectly without any unnecessary embellishments being added.
When I look around at the current state of Internet Marketing I see very little Shibumi! I see a lot of gaudy, over hyped, nonsense, being peddled to the unsuspecting masses! People get sucked in by the false promises and clever advertising, into a scheme that will never work, and end up many dollars poorer and with their dreams shattered.
There are two things that Internet Marketing virgins need to consider; what they are going to sell and how they are going to market it? The first is relatively simple - find a good affiliate product. It is in the second area that most people fall down!
The biggest problem faced by anyone running an online business is....... just how do you reach your “market”? How do you get customers to see the wonderful product or service you have for sale? You may have an all signing, all dancing, website, but if no one visits your store you are not going to make money!
I call this the “Sahara” approach. Many people open up their shop front in the middle of the desert, and then wonder why they are not getting any sales. The difference that makes the difference is not the product, or the way it is presented, but the way in which it is marketed.
If you are looking to earn money at home with an online business you would do well to remember this simple fact: 95% of your efforts should be geared towards driving traffic to your product!
That is one of the reasons I like business models that are “ready to go”. If I have to worry about website design, HTML, or all the technicalities of presenting a site then I have problems. My energies are split and I am not concentrating on the right thing!
If I can find a product where this side has been taken care of then I am happy! All my energies can then be focused on marketing the product, which is the only thing that is going to make me money anyway!
The difficulty sometimes is staying focused on this simple truth. There are just so many wonderful distractions out there! It is vital when you are working on building your business, to stay focused on what you are doing and what you want to achieve.
It is vital that you learn to see things through. If you start one project try not to get distracted. Don’t move on to something else until the first project is complete.
Do just ONE thing at a time, e.g. spend an hour generating traffic, a day writing a report, etc. etc. Don’t try and write a report, do link exchanges, install affiliate software and create a new website all at the same time! You will end up getting nothing done. Do one single thing at a time with complete focus and you will succeed!
So, remember these three crucial rules for staying on target with your efforts to make money on the internet. Keep your business model as simple as possible; avoid the temptation to chase each new “opportunity”; and focus on the task in hand. Follow these simple steps and you will soon start to make good money online.

In September of 2008 I lost my job as a long distance truck driver due to a chronic back injury. And of course, no job, no income. But the bills kept coming, oh yes the bills never stopped. Anyway, after about 2 weeks of lying around the house, banging my head off the walls, and annoying my wife, I started searching the Internet for some kind of opportunity where I could make some money online. My wife works as a nurse and we had some money saved, but without my income we were going to be hurting financially and fast! Did I mention the bills? Well, one night I was online doing a little surfing and to tell you the truth, I wasn't even looking for ways to make money. I was just surfing along on the net clicking this and clicking that, not really paying attention to anything in particular, and up popped an IPC website. At first, I thought it was just another one of those fishy websites that try to gyp people out of money. But I took a closer look because something on that website caught my eye. What caught my eye, was the picture of a man. Yea, the guy on the website... that guy on the website... I think know that guy! Or at least I thought I did, he looked really familiar. Just to let you know, the old IPC websites (they have since been updated) used to have a picture of a man in a tux on the front page, and he was holding out a wad of cash in his hand. It was as if he was saying, "Hey you, come here and take this money! Come on grab it!". That guy looks a lot like someone I used to know. But it turned out, I really didn't know the guy at all, I had just been up all day, it was 2 am and I had about 20 cups of coffee in me. I had a really wicked coffee buzz going that night.I guess it was fate or destiny (or 20 cups of coffee), call it what you want. Whatever it was, it made me stop and take a closer look at that website, and curiousity got the better of me, so I decided to do a little investigating. I Googled IPC to see if I could get some "dirt" on it. I figured that when I put IPC into the "Google info grinder", it would crumble like a cookie. Sure enough, when I saw the page Google brought back, my eyes were immidiately drawn to a headline that had the word "SCAM" in it, in big bold letters. On that entire page, the word "scam" was the first thing I noticed. And I thought to myself, "Ok IPC game over. You're busted pal. You're history!" But I clicked on the link anyway, prepared to read all kinds of stuff telling me how IPC was a scam, and IPC was a fraud, and how, if you put any money into it you would be the biggest butthead to ever fall off the turnip truck (or however that saying goes). But what I found instead, was an article written by an IPC member saying that IPC was in fact, not a scam. It was actually making money for him. I think the headline of that article went something like: "Can IPC Make Money Online Or Is It A SCAM?" I can't remember all the details of that article, but the gist of it was, IPC was working for him and it would work for almost anybody if they would just take advantage of the techniques it puts forward.

I call that guy "the IPC guy" now. When the IPC guy wrote that headline he was employing a very clever marketing tactic to get his article noticed and get more traffic to his website. Let's face it, that's the goal of any online marketing plan, right? Hey it worked on me. He hooked me like a big old suckerfish. Let's see if I can expand on that a bit. What the IPC guy knew when he wrote that headline is, that most people want their ideas to be backed up. Right or wrong, most people want their opinions to be reinforced. In other words, most people want to see their beliefs corroborated, whether their beliefs are true or not. It's just human nature. So in placing the word "scam" in his headline, the IPC guy knew that he would draw more attention to his article because most people do believe that online money making opportunities do not work, and even if it's just in the back of their minds, they want to see confirmation of that belief. As a result, they are more inclined to click the link with the word "scam" in it to get reassurance of a conclusion they have already drawn (that online money making opportunities are scams). Wow, my brain really hurts now. I think I need an aspirin. Did that make sense? In fact most of these free money promises are nothing more than scams to get your money, information or credit card number. However, if you are diligent and discerning there are some legitimate ways to make free money online.

One of the easiest ways to make money online is to sign up for a service sponsored by Amazon.com called "Mechanical Turk." M-Turk is an "articial intelligence" service. That's a fancy way of saying that it's a portal where people come and pay you to post to their forum, fill out a survey or submit to their directory. The only problem I have with M-Turk is that the price per task is usually very low. Most tasks will only pay you about 20 to 30 cents...some much less. If you calculate the time it takes to complete the task and get paid, you can only earn about 2 to 3 dollars per hour at most. That's not a very high return for your time... but it's better than nothing. The other good thing about Amazon's M-turk is that it's owned and operated by Amazon so you know it's somewhat legitimate and that you are going to get paid.
Another popular way to make free money online is by signing up for a paid survey service like Mindfield.com. These sites are promoted everywhere on the web including Craigslist. These sites promise to pay you for your opinion on new products and services. This is true... but there's a catch. First, they require you to give them all your personal information, which is always a bit concerning. Second, they pay you to test products--but you need to buy the product or subscribe to the service first. For example, last month I signed up for an online postage service. The survey website I signed up through promised to pay me 1 dollar to try the service for free. However, signing up for the postage service was a year commitment at $14.99 a month with the first month for free. They automatically bill your credit card for the second month unless you call to cancel. And yes, you guessed it: I forgot to cancel. Thus, I ended up getting charged $14.99 for something that only paid me $1. On one level it was my fault for not cancelling. But, in this busy world... it's easy to forget to cancel a monthly service like this and find yourself on the line for something you do not want or need. Thus, I recommend that you stay away from "paid survey" sites. They do work if you are diligent in cancelling the services you sign up for. But these sites make their money by banking on people signing up for the service and forgetting to cancel. In my opinion the risk is not worth the reward.
There is a third way to make free money online that we like very much. It involves opening up zero percent credit cards and creating an "arbitrage" situation for yourself. It is not as complicated as it sounds and works every time. But it is too long to go into here but, nonetheless, it does work. I've done it, and the money can be substantial.
So, the answer is yes! There are some legitimate ways to make free money online but you need to be very careful about which method you use. Be careful or you can end up losing more free money than you make online.
